Our Story

Welcome to Palm Global Education, where we are dedicated to delivering exceptional language and cultural education for learners of all ages, from kindergarten to the boardroom. Our name comes from the palm tree. Our founder truly fell in love with foreign language and culture when studying abroad in places with palm trees in Latin America and the Middle East.

The business is now based in Charleston, South Carolina, and the state tree is the Palmetto, a palm tree.

Our passionate team of professionals foster a supportive and engaging environment, empowering individuals to master foreign languages and immerse in diverse cultures. We hold graduate degrees (MA or higher), with extensive study abroad experience studying other languages and cultures in context. Our approach recognizes the tremendous undertaking of mastering a foreign language and culture. We know the best way to truly master a language and culture is to spend time in a country where both are dominant. The study abroad experience can be overwhelming even before departure-we've studied, directed, and designed programs in multiple countries and contexts. We know what it is like to be a student and a director of a program, and bring this perspective to working with you to remove the confusion from the study abroad process and create a positive, life affirming experience abroad for you.

One of my most challenging college courses was Spanish. Janelle was instrumental in helping me pass the course. She was patient, supportive, and very understanding. Her dedication in helping me to succeed was priority number one!
